Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, March 05, 2024

Josh S

Howdy everyone! Welcome to Tuesday afternoon’s surf repot from main peak Pangas. It was smaller today, but really glassy.

Josh S

Bertie was the superstar of today’s report. He was surfing this board well today.

Josh S

There was a fair mix of rights and lefts today. At high tide the rights were definitely better, but I’d say the rights and lefts were about the same quality while I was shooting at low tide this afternoon.

Josh S

BAM! Bertie unwinding on a medium size right. I was surprised to see how much speed and drive he was generating on the shortboard in the smaller waves.

Josh S

A relaxed roundhouse :)

Josh S

There were still a few larger sets sneaking through every now and again, as evidenced here.

Josh S

This might’ve been my favorite turn from Bertie today. He kept his core muscles tight and rotated through this roundhouse on just the perfect part of his heel-side rail.

Josh S

An unknown surfer engaging his inside rail as well. Speed is the name of the game at Pangas.

Josh S

John Daiger got unlucky that this section ran just a little hot ahead of him. It’s a shame because it was a beautiful wave on the takeoff, but the face didn’t stay open as expected.

Josh S

The Heisman trophy pose! Into the barrel…

Josh S

Bertie chucking some more buckets out there. He got about 10 waves in 30 minutes haha.

Josh S

One more smooth roundhouse to close today’s report.

Josh S

Another not so bad day in paradise! Smaller, but clean wave faces so we can’t complain. Fun shape out there too. Tomorrow looks like it should be identical to today, so if you want to see more of the fun surf then stop back in mañana.
