Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, February 28, 2011

What’s up folks?  This is Lucha Libre Garcia with the last report of February.  This month wasn’t quite as good as January but we are not complaining because we still had tons of fun waves during the whole month.  The cold water showed out this month, so we had to wear top and a couple days we had to paddle out on full websuits.  The waves were running about chest to shoulder high on sets, the winds were a little strong offshore and the water was still pretty chilly this morning.  Check it out!!!

This year has been great so far, we have had waves for every sore of surfers, even for little kids.  A 3 years old kid that surf at this age will kill it for sure when he turns 15.

Bunch of local surfers made it out and they were shredding up all over the place as always.  This is “La Gaviota” Chamorro with a cool off the top on his backside.

A few international dudes were also able to score many fun ones.  El Mojo-jojo Jackson with a sweet frontside snap.

Randy “El Bambino” Taylor took out his big panga and was charging.  Check him out going big with a killer floater.  Nice job Bambino!

David “EL Lampaso” also made it out on his panga and was showing us a little bit of his improvement on that thing.  Here he is with the one foot ride, right in front of the camera.

It is always nice to see the pets having a good time on the beach.  We have to say that they didn’t fight today, so it was all love!

The longboarders were definitely taking some of the better waves of the day.  Check out this unknown rider racing down the line on this right hander.

On the last shot of the day we have “La Bestia” Calderon with a solid backside move on this left.  The waves should be fun tomorrow as well, so stay tuned with us!
