Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, February 11, 2024

Josh S

Sunday Funday party wave! Welcome to today’s surf report from Panga’s main peak. It was fairly windy today, but some unexpected swell arrived today.

Josh S

Even though the waves were bigger today, many of the wave-faces were really soft. So staying on rail like this guy was a good idea.

The crowd was definitely right today! There only two surfers out, and some fun crispy waves if you were patient enough to wait for sets.

Setting up the lip-line attack…

And boom! A nice big snap. He was right on time for his surfing tee-time, but no time for a golf tee-time today.

The main peak rights were living up to their reputation today. This guy is taking a shallower bottom turn to set up for his big cutback.

Solid mechanics and a nice roundhouse to please us spectators.

The steep section on the inside corner of Pangas main peak right.

These two surfers had to be fairly patient out there, but it paid off for them. I mean, check out the buckets of spray that this guy tossed.

One of the rare smooth face rights from today’s session. I’ve got my fingers crossed that the wind direction will be favorable tomorrow.

Josh S

Well amigos, it was a beautiful day on the beach and the water color lived up to it’s epithet as the “Emerald Coast”. Tomorrow is forecasted to be bigger than today and we’re supposed to catch a break from the wind, so I’m optimistic! Hasta mañana.
