Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, February 05, 2024

Josh S

Hey everyone. Welcome to Monday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The wind was light onshore overnight and all day today. The waves weren’t so bad this morning, but definitely not as fun as the past couple of days.

Josh S

This local guy tore his finale wave to pieces. He started off the wave with some good style and flow.

Josh S

His opening move was a strong, yet smooth cutback. He’s a bigger than standard fella, so that in combination with some speed helped him displace a nice ring of spray.

Josh S

Dab on dem haterz. He kept doing roundhouse carves all the way back to the sand. Definitely worthy of a finishing ride.

Josh S

When he hit the fat section on the inside he even whipped out a cheater five. Scores are in… it’s an excellent ride!

Josh S

My look-a-like was out there slashing hard again.

Josh S

The sun and glare were pretty intense when the cloud cover cleared today. This guy made a good call to whip out the hat in an effort to mitigate some of the glare on his eyes.

Josh S

This guy must’ve been a bit chilly the past couple of days as we whipped out a near full suit haha! I think that might be a bit extreme, and even I’m precious with the water temperature haha. He’s got some cool style with this bottom turn.

Josh S

Oh man this wave had no clue what was coming. This was definitely the maneuver of the day. Perfect rail control and power driving through the turn.

Josh S

The weather was really hot and humid today, so if you didn’t have much planned then it was still worth a paddle this morning, at least just to cool down and get a little exercise. Tomorrow’s forecast looks very similar, but it could be a little smaller than today. Anyways, I’m going to try to shoot in the morning tomorrow while the wind is favorable and will bring you the best action from that window. Hasta mañana!
