Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, February 03, 2024

Josh S

Hey amigos! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The wind was very light this morning which made for rippable and glassy conditions. Jackson Obando getting inverted on today’s opening shot.

I had a look-a-like out there today haha! This blonde goofy-footer carved it up out there for me.

Some serious style and flow being exhibited by this blue-board rider.

Roundhouse cutbacks are one of the few times in surfing where it can be permissible to let your head come over the rail of your board, which then functions as a pivot point that your lower body and board “swing” around.

Josh S

It’s rarely the case that the lefts are better at Pangas than the rights, but today was one of those days. How was this tube?

Josh S

Jackson flying with his wings spread wide through this roundhouse cutback.

This unknown rider was killing it out there on a hybrid board. He was surfing it like a performance shortboard.

Josh S

Check it out, he even boosted an air on that thing. Make hay while the sun shines, i.e. boost airs while the wind is light.

This lady got the pop-up and vision correct, however to turn across the face she needs to apply more pressure over her back-foot and toes in unison with cranking her back elbow down and back so that the line of her shoulders change.

Josh S

Push that slush out of the way! Haha

Josh S

My doppelgänger slicing and dicing some more out there. He’s even wearing a black long-sleeve rashie!

Josh S

This guy’s pink board is sick! What a stick?! Well today’s surf was really rippable again. I think tomorrow will be a bit bigger and the light wind will stay with us, so be sure to stop back in tomorrow.
