Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, December 26, 2020

It's Christmas weekend and the gifts just keep coming for us lucky enough to be here in Nica. Late December and it's 80 degrees sun is shining and we got some tasty waves with 5 or 6 people in the lineup. Stoked!

Josh navigating the rocks at this point break like a veteran of the spot but he was telling me it was his first trip to this cutty little spot.

For surely Donnie has been to these neck of the woods before. He was definitely scoring some fun ones during the session.

Here's Carl ripping up the face of this wave like he does to all the waves up and down the coast of Nicaragua that he can dig his fins in to.

Yeeeeewww looking for a little cover too. Carl doing his thing out there today!

Dwight aka D-Lite with the heavy lip smackers on display today.

Donnie having a tubular time lol no but seriously what an enjoyable day with a trip to a treat of a wave and scoring with some late Christmas presents for the boyz!!

Huge roundhouse cutback from Carl wrapping that thing around like Chuck Norris and spraying water out like a Super Soaker 3000.

Jimmy getting some time at this neat wave and a nice change up from all the goofy footers out there haha Looks like he busted open a fire hydrant at the top of that wave.

Carl keeping busy out there and as this wave is a long one often times breaking for a few hundred yards he was getting an excellent workout in today.

This wave will just keep forming and looking like it may wall up at times or shoulder off but it just keeps breaking and connecting through from one section to the next and is such a pleasure to surf.

Okay got a nice bit of shots from the boat now let's see if I can get in the water and score a few shots between surf sessions of my own.. oh the rough life of a surf photographer ;)

Couple of awesome dudes from the neighborhood John and Cesar paddling out to the lineup to get in on the action.

Dang! I think I had a drop of water on the lens or something because it's double vision distorted but I think it is still a asick one. Cesar appreciating a little shade from that bright sun and I know dudy was stoked for the waves today.

Carl up close and personal, what's in the next frame you ask? I'd show you but it was just a face full of salt water lol. Nice spray on that one I can assure you.

What an epic trip to this very sick wave that is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. If you're visiting and would like to plan a strike plan let me know and I'll coordinate the logistics so you can attack it. Big shoutout to everybody out in the water today you guys are all awesome and the vibes in the lineup were so chill, the Emerald Coast of Nicaragua is truly one of the greatest kept secrets of happiness that exists. Thanks for checking out the report today everbody! I'll leave you with this shot of Cesar owner and operator of Stop N' Go Market in Hacienda Iguana and a rad dude. How about another facewash?!
