Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, December 23, 2021

Brian Scott

Happy Thursday folks! It was a super cruisy mellow day of waves and surfing, and I can’t think of a better place to be on the Eve of the day before Christmas Eve than here in beautiful Nicaragua! Sun was out and shining, people frolicking and enjoying the nice bath like temperature water… it was a good day.

Brian Scott

December you have been ever so kind to us this season!

The troops making their way out to do battle in the kiddo-zone!

Anicca has her surfing A-Game on point! Look at that style and perfect form already! Yaaaah little lady!

Brian Scott

This is how much she loves herself some surfing and being in Nicaragua for the holidays. Corazón grandioso!!!!

Brian Scott

Jett giving his amigo Carlitos a little taste with his newest and latest super late takeoffs. I think these two will end up being paddle partners at the outer reefs one day!

Brian Scott

Carlitos answering back… the nice thing about the surfing community here (especially for the groms) and I can say this with 100% experience… there isn’t any NSSA type competition feelings or anxiety put on any of the young up and comers. Everyone here is taught about how surfing is a lifestyle and not about points.

Brian Scott

Although, some people here could take some pointers from these frothing little gremmies, as they will soon be handed the torch for these waters. It’s just a matter of time.

Brian Scott

Alvaro, big kid brother to both Jett and Rio, probably one of the most happy go lucky people on the planet. He was a match made by the Universe to be in the Abate family. No two brothers could ask for a better “Bigger” brother to always be watching over them!

Brian Scott

You wanna see todays lineup, or crowd factor….??? Jajaja here ya go!

Brian Scott

If you can’t have fun (or make at least one ridiculously fun wipeout during your surf sesh) you’re not doing it right. Big Carlos going over the falls with style! haha

Brian Scott

If you had to do it all over again, meaning if you had a chance to re-choose where you grew up surfing, where would you choose? Just hypothetically asking…

Brian Scott

My cold water surfers ears tell me, if I had only known about tropical surf places, this would be my ideal dream surf spot to have grown up…. then again I think things were a tad different here in the 70’s. So keep that in mind every time you paddle out and you’re fortunate to live in such a magical place like Nica-Land! Diacachimba ~
