Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, December 23, 2010

Last night we were working hard until late at night to make everything ready for today.  Do you guys know what day is today?  It is the big day.  Check out my two cute daughters right behind the stuff we are going to give away to all our kids.

Closed out shot to all the toys we are going to delivery this Christmas.  This is awesome, uh!!!

We’ve got Lucha Libre Garcia with our daily surf report.  Today I had t drove up north to drop and pick up some of our sick rental boards.  I took advantage on my trip up there and stopped by the beach, hoping to find some fun waves but this time it wasn’t happening.  The waves were running about ankle to knee high but we are not complaining because these holidays we can stay with our family and share a good Christmas time.  Check it out!!!

Did I say share with our family?  Good daddy took the day off from surfing and spent the day on the beach with his son.

Even Panga Drops was pretty small.  Usually this spot if big enough to surf, meanwhile all the other spots are super small.  It was still fun to take a big board out but nobody was out.

I had to drive back to San Juan del Sur and get ready for our big day.  THE CHIRSTMAS PARTY FOR OUR KIDS.  Here is a shot of El Burro doing its thing.  This year we got ready for 300 kids.  Yes friends, thanks to all of you that helped out to make this possible.  We loaded El Burro up with food, drinks, toys, candies, piñatas and headed out to one of the poorer spots around Rivas.  People around call it La Churequita, just figure out why!

Bunch of kids jumped out to the streets to get their own Christmas present.  Mothers and fathers took their little sons and daughter to be part of this huge party.  It was amazing to see all this kids so happy.

In our first stop we had around 200 kids having a good time, enjoying their toys and everything we gave to them, including our friendship.  We drove a little bit more and found another 60 or 70 kids waiting for us and we expecting to find them.

Baby girls and baby boys were so stoked with the opportunity you guys gave to them this Christmas.  Check out this one and tell me if she is not happy!

After we shared toys, candies, drinks, etc.  It was time to start with the Pinatas. Of course, my daughter Danna was also excited about it, and she was the first one in the field, waiting for all the kids.

More than happy with the piñatas we brought up for these kids, it was time to break them all.  Check out this little girl doing her best to hit this one.

A few other little girls were not even worried about the Pinatas, they just wanted to dance and have a good time.  That’s what all about, “Make our kids happy”.  This is going to sounds like Pancho, Dance, dance, dance, dance!!!

Right before the first Panata was done, this mama arrived to the place with a big ass CD player to play some music and make the moment more special and fun.

The Pinatas had lot of candies as well and all the kids were right there to pick up some of them.  The big mamas were there too, trying to get few for their little kids.

The rope got stuck in the tree and I had to climb to take it off.  I was kinda worried because I was little bit higher than 8 meters and the winds were blowing pretty hard.

The young fathers were very grateful with us.  We spend more than 7 hours driving and working for all these kids but we are very glad to help them out.  It did pay off.  Now we have a great feeling knowing that we did something good for all these kids.

This pic talks itself, and it is the last one.  We have a lot of cool photos but they are too many to post.   We want to say thanks so much to all the people that make this come true.  It is a lot of work but it is worth.  You guys just have to see these kid’s faces to know that they are very happy and you guys also have to feel happy because you helped to make this happen.  It was nice to put all efforts together and we hope to do it next year, god willing.  NSR really appreciate all the help given to accomplish our goal this year and hopefully we’ll go over it in the future.  Peace, love and Merry Christmas!!!

Thanks so much for you help.  Merry Christmas to everyone, special to all the people who made this possible.
