Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, December 18, 2016

Hello NSR community!! Welcome to our Sunday Funday surf report! This is Parker checking in with the morning shots. Mira a nuestras fotos!!

Louie and I hopped in our truck and met up with Pancho and his wife Hace Queso. Settle into that office chair, put off your Monday morning for five minutes, and enjoy the report!

Well, we call him Pancho Sanchez but a better name might be Houdini...

Skirrrrttttt!!!! Not a bad start to them morning, huh?

Unfortunately, today is Louie and Heather Preysz's last day. We had to get this guy in the spot and get a few shots!!

Louie, I have the camera, you got the barrels, right???

We're bummed to see them head out but we're stoked to start renting Casa Ola! We just shot the photos so stay tuned to our report for more information and shots within the next couple of days.

Pancho wanted to give Louie a quick house warming gift before he went back to the States... Got 'em!!

Here's what a normal day with Hace Queso looks like: get the family's breakfast ready- check. Get the kids ready for school- check. Get the adults (Pancho and me) ready for the day- check. Get a Fist Pump Fitness session in with Kevin- check. Go score fun surf out front- CHECK!!!

Today was a day for the residents from St. Augustine. Pancho, Hace Queso, Lou Bob, and DLite were all on it!! We were only missing DLow and Kai!!

I'm 86.72491% sure it's impossible to hang out with DLite without having fun and smiling! I'm 100% sure it's impossible to surf with him without seeing him shred.

In NICA Land, it's Sunday so all the locals are enjoying a day off and spending time with their family. Tony, Kristhell, Peter, and Miki, how are we feeling about hitting up Sunday Funday here later tonight?!?!?

Gerardo Antonio brought his family to the beach. He shot his photos while his wife played with Gerardito. He is about 9 months old but already full of energy and running around. He must be loco like his papa!!!!

Lately, we've been getting some late season rains. Nothing major but definitely majorly appreciated. Keep the rivers and wells full and the crops watered!!

Ohh man this is going to be a good one!!! Take the drop next time bro!!!!

Some of the waves were gems with the size and line but others were smaller and closed out. Pancho still making do with what Neptune sent us today.

Did you see Kelly's wave yesterday? Or JJF's huge alley oop? That was the buzz on Instagram but today's buzz in Nicaragua was "did you see Lou Bob's air??????"

Well, a family, a career, and a couple knee surgeries later, we give him a break. But he still charged the section and went for it!!! When he returns in June, we'll make sure he nails one on the report.

Besides, Lou Bob is a tube hound anyways. Becuase he has a house here, he can always strike an incoming swell to fill his quota.

Hmmm what does Mr. DLite have in store for us? I hope it's something epic...

Digging the rail!! Hold on bro!!

Bam!! The numerous left points/reefs nearby combined with his 10+ years here will work wonders on one's game.

Laidback Lou Bob responds!! Now we just have to get him on some of the sick nearby waves...

Pancho wanted to hang with the big boys and throw his tail around too. Or maybe he just wanted an opportunity to practice using the Force...

Maybe the two of us can get Hace Queso into some Star Wars!!! Or maybe we better save our energy...

Ok damas and caballeros, we had a great morning together! The waves, weather, and company were all awesome. We hope you have a good start to your week and thanks for tuning into today's report! Hasta en la manana amigos!!
