Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, December 12, 2008

Hi folks, we are Lucha Libre and Come Pan Panic with the Friday surf report from out here at Playa Maderas.  Today we drove up El Burro to the beach hoping to score some small but fun waves and we did.  It was running about waist to chest high with some sporadic shoulder high sets, the winds were strong offshore and the water was warm and clear.  Check out what we got!!!

It is pretty weird because we had excellent surf conditions for longboard today but no one was out.  What is not weird is to have a couple of beginners trying to learn how to surf.  Today there were a few beginners out doing the best to catch some waves.

The lineup was not crowded at all.  There were only about four locals and two other international surfers out that were having so much fun.  Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro was taking advantage and was doing all kind of maneuvers.  Check him out going big in front of the rocks at Machete Pt.  He actually was pretty scared to land this one on the rocks.  Don’t you believe us?  Check out his expression!!!

Lucas “El Pelucas” was able to paddle out today and he was in the right spot to catch a few of the best set waves that were coming through.  Here he is looking down the line to figure out what to do on this beautiful wave.

“Carita de Venado” Davila was practicing all class of moves on the small waves today.  He looks very comfortable surfing on these kinds of waves.  Here he is with a cool vertical trick.

Here we have one more shot of “La Baloy” this time getting shacked.  He definitely is feeling so much better and now he’s practicing hard to be the number one in the upcoming surf circuit next year but he has to beat “La Bestia” first.

On the last shot of the day we have a shot of “La Gaviota” Chamorro trying a sweet backside aerial 360’s.  That’s all for today folks, please check back tomorrow.
