Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, November 23, 2018

Brian Scott

Happy TGIF & the day after Thanksgiving friends! Hope you all had a great Holiday yesterday. Today we had some fun small playful surf back over at Colorados. The weather was really nice and the water was nice and as warm as it gets here. Jump on in.

Brian Scott

Light winds and a sparkly afternoon for the few people out surfing today.

This fellow, enjoying the goods we had on tap…

Cross-stepping his way right into the weekend.

Brian Scott

Today was a good day to be out riding any kind of surf craft.

Brian Scott

John Springfield, who took the majority of the wins in multiple surf classes, showing us how he got to be so good in yesterdays annual Chompipe Surf Contest. Practice, practice, practice.

Brian Scott

Cuidado!!! There were some sneaker sets out there today. haha!

Brian Scott

I’d still say, the long boarders had the upper hand out there.

Brian Scott

But then again, anytime the Groms Resano trifecta hits these waves… no size matters with how they handle their ripping.

Brian Scott

Including the small department.

Brian Scott

Here’s one angle of what could be called a really nice off the top.

Brian Scott

and here’s the other angle, which looks just as nice… ok this angle looks pretty sick actually!!!

Brian Scott

Ricky, showing us how Floridian surfers tackle the small stuff. Straight up killing it out there today!

Brian Scott

The youngest of the Resano clan, setting one up on a well overhead mini nugget.

Brian Scott

Pint sized and more style than most surfers try to achieve in a lifetime of surfing.

Brian Scott

It’s in the genes, so don’t beat yourself up too bad.

Brian Scott

Luis Carlos looking for a little shade in todays blistering sun.

Brian Scott

Valentina, the oldest of the three has been doing turns like this since she was the same age as her youngest sisters. The only thing is, the older she gets, the more water she displaces; which is beautiful thing to watch and see.

Brian Scott

Bouncing back and forth today between the backlit and front lit, we get a nice little double vision of a few nice waves taken from today.

Brian Scott

Like this sick little air my buddy Ricky pulled off around 2:30pm.

Brian Scott

I know what you’re thinking, that looks like this chica is ripping on and alaia, I did too, but turns out it’s a really cool wood firewire. Either way, she knew what she was doing out there despite what was under her feet.

Brian Scott

Candie, the middle of the sister rippers, keeps the balance alive and well since she has one sister on the way up the totem pole to look up to her and the other who has to keep her game in check so she doesn’t get passed up. Pressure….. nahhhhhh! It’s all about fun and surfing, right?

Brian Scott

Aqua green walls and a nice bottom turn adorned the pages of many surf mags for decades, that is, until the internet came along.

Brian Scott

Candie setting up for something big, while Ricky is kicking out the back.

Brian Scott

Booooom!!!

Brian Scott

Their rail game is ON POINT> !! So is their big wave game as well. Somehow it will all manifest itself… soon….. very soon!!

Brian Scott

Surfing and style is and has always been about experimentation and self expression. John S. leading the way… backwards.

Brian Scott

Ok amigos! That’s all I have for today. Hopefully this got you stoked for the weekend.  We’ll see you out there again mañana. Dale pues ~
