Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, November 21, 2010

Hi folks, this is Miguel Mora bringing you a little bit of the action we had in the second and last day of the Central American Surf Contests in Playa Madera’s this year.  Fortunately the waves and the winds were very good today.  Here we have this cool shot of Playa Madera’s.  Check it out!!!

We had the semi-finals today and everybody was trying to get a good place in the Central American Surf contest at Playa Madera’s.  This is our very good friend Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro looking good at his home break and ripping on this little nugget.

On this shot we have our very good friend Jose “El Corage” Hernandez, he was catching lots of wave and wasn't backing down from anybody.  Look at him with this little floater on the closed out section.

This kid looked like a gringo but I guess he was a local from somewhere.  Maybe his dad was a gringo surfer...anyway, he was ripping and busted some sick airs today during his heats.

I don't know what country this flag represents but I feel like I really want to go there!

On this shot we have our very good friend Rex “La Bestia” Calderon about to paddle out for his heat.  As Nicaragua's number 1 surfer, Rex has a lot of pressure on him to do well at his home break.

As it turns out, Rex seems to feed on pressure and was busting some sick aerial maneuvers during his heat.  Check this one out:

On this shot we have this beautiful photo where we have all trophies for the all winner today.  Not sure what the donkey head means...but it looks cool!

Here we have Lisbet Bindas she was how wind the first place in category of woman.  Congratulation.

This is our friend Jose “El Corage” Hernandez celebrating his triumph after the long and tired competition.  Corage took home 1st place in longboard and got his very own donkey head to take home.

Rex was working very hard all day because we had a lof of people of different country trying to win the first place on this Central American Surf Contests but finally Rex was how win the first place in this Contest.  Congratulation dude!

On the last shot of the day we have the "behind-the-scenes-crew" posing for the NSR camera.  This event would not have been possible without their help.  Thank you so much for make possible this exciting event.  We should have fun little waves and offshore winds again tomorrow so please check back with us.
