Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, November 20, 2022

Brian Scott

Bienvenidos all you happy Sunday Funday people all over the globe! Well. . .  as predicted a few surf reports back, (remember that little secret I shared with you all - about the the possibility of this “Magical” end of the season swell that was headed our way???) So, our infamous front runners showed up on time (actually a little early today) and it was ON FIRE!!!!! Just from the highlights that a I had to go through alone from this evening, I can already tell tomorrow is gonna be a helluva day, if it doesn’t end up being too big! I.e. todays font runners were totally solid and if tomorrows predictions run true, This could be one of the BEST swells of the year!  ENJOY ~

November 20th and the livin’ is easy…. haaaa maybe for those who like to peep from the beach. However, for those who are preparing to go to battle mañana, like this poor guy in the front of the wave…. there are going to be a lot of some serious deep duck diving and paddling back out going on!

Josh making his way, waaaaaaay over to “No-Man’s”Land over in the end section of the river mouth rights. I am only hoping these things tomorrow light up with all that morning glory sunlight that this place is known for facing Gigante in the AM!

Brian Scott

The only early evening / pre-dusk crew the were out when I rolled up. Not a single person was sitting at any other peek! That’s because this was the SPOT!

Brian Scott

“Carlitos Caliente” certainly pinching himself right here in this moment saying to himself. . . .

Brian Scott

Is this really November? But in all his time & years spent here prospecting for the perfect wave on the planet, I am 100% sure he’s seen even more crazier things. Today and tomorrow will definitely go down in the record books though.

Brian Scott

One his best amigos in the neighborhood and heavy water surf companions, Gray out there shining like he always does any time this place lights up. Even when it’s a late season swell like this!

Brian Scott

Funny to think I have an almost identical shot of Carlos (but with his signature Afro at the time) padding and dropping into a wave JUST LIKE THIS almost a decade and a half ago. Ironic how time flies by. . .

Brian Scott

But the surfing is or I should say the waves have always been there and the same, and to think it’s been that way for hundreds of million’s of years before a species like us decided to come along and ride these majestic things that the ocean creates!

Brian Scott

Gray, getting ready for what I hear will most likely be an EPIC day at the outer reef tomorrow!

Brian Scott

The rights were a bit fast and walled, but maybe tomorrow on the high tide, the derechos will completely on FIRE!

Brian Scott

Bryan aka “Pancho” McMandon, this BUDS for YOU!!!!!!! Wish you could be here brother!!!

Brian Scott

The beach club summed up in one photo (w/some of the heavy water chargers that were out there earlier, soaking in some of that last days rays). Hope you guys get all rested up and ready for tomorrows Magic November swell!!!

Brian Scott

Here’s exactly what I am hoping is on fire tomorrow morning!

Brian Scott

If not, the lefts are a great back up, at least for the morning session.

Brian Scott

Be ready to see a lot of this mañana.

Brian Scott

And of course a ton of “smiles for miles”! You have no idea how much……..errrrrrrr or rather, how special a good swell means to each and every surfer!

Brian Scott

To capture the perfect waves is one thing, but to capture two beauties both at the same time, one would say the timing was impecable. Guess I got lucky today with this completely unstaged photo of mi novia, Claudia Melendez & Kai Delorenzo paddling into a bomb in the background.
