Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, November 18, 2009

We are happy to announce that after asking around we have been able to find a laptop for Ramone!  We would like to send out a special thanks to the donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, for making this possible.  We configured the laptop yesterday with Microsoft Office, Virus protection and a shiny new NSR Sticker!  Ramone came over last night and we presented it to him in person.  Needless to say, he was very grateful and excited to take advantage of this opportunity.

The laptop is not a handout though, it's a privilege to help further Ramone's education  He'll be able to use it as long as he makes good grades.  Grades come out twice per year and he is required to turn them in for review.  NSR has also offered to provide assistance, whenever needed, to help Ramone learn how to maximize the use of his new computer.

We are excited for Ramone and will keep track of his progress right here!  Congratulations Ramone, make us proud!

Welcome everyone to our daily surf report.  This is Lucha Libre bringing you a little bit of the action we had on the beach.  The waves were super small, running about knee high on sets with strong offshore winds but the water was pretty clear.  Check out the lineup!!!

As we said before the water was clear so a few guys took advantage on that and jumped out in the water trying to catch some fish.  Here we have Dave and Jeremy about to go out and crush the fish.

The waves were pretty small but there were still some waves to be had.  Here we have this unknown rider doing the best to ride this one all the way in to the beach.

The day was perfect to learn how to surf.  Here we have this group of cute girls posting for the camera to immortalize this moment for ever.  If you are thinking to get a surf lesson remember that we have the best instructor in Nicaragua, he’ll make you stand up on the first lesson you get.

It was even a good day to pick up some trash. Check out this girl doing her thing by herself.  By the way, if you around town this weekend we are going to have a day pick up trash all the way from Chocolata Road, you guys are more than welcome to join us.

There was quite a good crew of beginners in the lineup.  Here we have Mel trying to ride this left.  He was so stoked because he caught many waves.

Later on, a couple of beginners showed out to the beach, hoping to score some decent ones on the big pangas.  Hey guys, hook up D-lite next time and you are going to have the best surf lesson ever.

On the last shot of the day we have Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro styling on this little nugget.  He was the only guy that was killing it out there on the big board.  Hopefully the waves get bigger tomorrow, so make sure to check us back out.
