NSR

Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, November 17, 2018

Javier Baldovinos

Hey everyone, how’s your weekend? Well, here in Santana the day has been great, especially because of the quality of waves we had all morning. Take a look!

Javier Baldovinos

The strong offshore wind makes it difficult on the take-offs, they are steep and usually late ones.

The rights towards the center of the beach were also working really good… here is Elyin Guzman getting some speed before getting in the barrel.

Javier Baldovinos

First peak was working great, the only issue is that the offshore is getting strong in the mornings… you can see the curtain behind the wave created by the wind.

Javier Baldovinos

And he got really deep on this one!

The waves at first peak were not breaking that often but only two guys were surfing there so there were plenty of waves for both.

Here is Elyin getting shacked one more time on the right.

Javier Baldovinos

He looks so relax in there, right? No wonder his nickname among the locals is “El Pro”.

Javier Baldovinos

And here is Elyin “El Pro” Guzman finishing this wave (after a long barrel) with some power and control.

Javier Baldovinos

Candido is another guy that could be called “El Pro”, especially at first peak.

Big A-frame peaks at Santana means big air late drops… hopefully tomorrow will be the same because I want to surf! Have a great Sunday everyone!
