Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, November 12, 2019

Brian Scott

Hola surfing friends from around the globe, welcome to another fun day of surf from Tola, Nicaragua. On this Tuesday, we had some fun new swell in the water and beautiful super sunny weather! The best place to be was definitely under any kind of shade you could find (like Jeison is here in a big barrel).

Sea to table, farm to table or any kind of place you can think of other than a large grocery chain store or restaurant, these local people do it all by hand from the land or the sea pretty much daily here in the country, outside of the big cities. Just another way of life here that shows how simple and uncomplicated life really is. Gotta be thankful for all you have!

Brian Scott

Ok, sorry for the little PSA on your surf report. I just wanted to share some of the local vibes that you may not get to see often enough from here.  Here’s Mr. Seth (whom actually employees a buttload of great local Nicaraguan’s with plenty of work that him and his wide Lindsey & CO have been doing down here for a long time now) doing a little Sea to Tabla work himself!

Brian Scott

These late season swells have been a little moody. Moody in the sense that, yes, there have been some really great, amazing super clean conditional waves, but there’s been a bit of waiting time between the BIG ONES!

Brian Scott

When I say big ones, I mean, there’s some legit surf going on out there these last few weeks. However, I like to show all and everything in-between. Mikey here taking the shade advice I mentioned earlier, well to heart.

TBTT - throw back TACO TUESDAY!!! If you ever graced this place well over a decade ago… and you were in SJDS back in the days, then you would recognize this hombre! Welcome back Ernie!!!!! Good to see you out there buddy!

Brian Scott

Here’s a little fun PC trivia question for you : If you take off on a wave like this (particularly a right, since this photo example is of a right but our lefts can be equally or sometimes even better) What do you think might OR could happen next????

Brian Scott

If you guessed this…. YOU have surfed this place and know your SH!T well!!!! Thanks for playing! Jajajaja

Brian Scott

Oh look!!! I ran into a couple of the local wildlife today. Just playing, I now all three. Still though, they are the best conejitas I know! ;)

Brian Scott

Jeison is an animal all in his own. The kid shreds like a jaguar!

Brian Scott

The cool thing about this place is that because there is such an amazing pool of local talent, it also helps raise the awareness of it from the people who travel here to surf. Thus everyone who comes, gives this place their best when surfing in any conditions. Unknown ripper, brining his A-Game!

Simon Slater has a twin, or maybe a triplet I think, since Sam is the other doppelgänger. I think both Sam and Simon represent equally well their third brothers’ surfing prowess. King Kelly!!!

Brian Scott

WHooop Whooop!!!! So glad to see this legend back out in the lineup! Bienvenido Señor Eberly!!!!

Brian Scott

This is about when I started to see some of those juicy banger sets start to roll in.

Burger Reef throwing down some sick little teeppee’s on the high Tizzzzide!

Brian Scott

ALRIGHT, so here’s one of those crazy sick sets I was telling you all about. My hermano Colin, about to GO all BEAST mode on this THING!!!

Brian Scott

Pulled back version!?! Yeah, it’s still November and it’s more green than ever and the bombs are still funneling in! Hope to see you down here! If not, keep on peepin’… we’ll keep giving you the goods!!! Dale chavales ~
