Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, November 07, 2008

Hi folks, we are the NSR family bringing you the action of the Friday surf report.  Today we went back to Maderas hoping to score some fun waves and we did.  It was running about chest to shoulder high on sets and the wind was light onshore because PALOMA is still around.  Check it out.

A few locals made it out to the beach and they were having so much fun out there.  Here we have Guilllermo “La Terepotita” Rosales from La Boquita with a cool snap on this right.

But there were some lefts to be had as well.  Calibilly Zapata was taking advantage and scored a couple of good ones.  This is a shot of him with a sweet off the lip, he has been watching how D-lite does it.

The lineup was not crowded today so there were some nice waves that rolled all the way in to the beach.  Check out this empty right crossing Machete pt.

Pedro “El Cacaste” Florez was out as well catching some nice ones.  He was practicing all kinds of maneuvers all day.  This kid is improving his surfing skills very fast so keep an eye on him.

On the way back home we decided to make up a new surf revolution.  We tied a rope to “El Burro” and pulled Codo on a bodyboard through one of the big puddles we have on our way to Maderas.  Codo wanted to make some huge turns but it was very difficult because the mud is getting hard like a rock.

On the last shot of the day we have “El Codo” Lopez with a sweet snap on the chocolate spot.  He was shaking and baking all over it.  The waves should be about the same size tomorrow so stay tuned with us.
