Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, November 06, 2006

Election Update: Well folks, as of 8am Monday morning, 15% - 25% of the votes are showing Ortega with between 38% and 40% of the vote and a solid 7% to 8% lead over the second place candidate, Eduardo Montealegre. It's not a done deal yet, but it's looking like Nicaragua will continue the trend of Latin America and GO LEFT (Photo from yesterday)!

Hi, this is Roberto with the surf and elections report for today. I'm not too happy because Ortega is leading the elections (Monday night 7:00pm) right now, 60% of the votes are showing Ortega with 38.2% of the vote and a solid 8% lead over the second palce Montealegre(30.2%). It's chest to head high on sets and the wind is offshore.

This is Augusto with nice spray. I think he wasn't thinking about the elections because he was having a good day. Enjoy it, because It can be one of your last day surfing out here man.

Dexter was out too. Here he is on a nice set wave at Machete pt.
