Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, October 25, 2008

Hi folks, this is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you the action for the Saturday surf report.  Today we went back to Playa Maderas because we wanted to score some fun waves.  There were plenty of waves to be had for everyone because the lineup was not crowded.  It was running about chest to head high with some sporadic overhead sets coming through and the offshore winds stayed with us all day long.  Check out what we got!!!

First thing we want to say hello and welcome D-lite’s family to Nicaragua.  They are going to be down here for a week sharing time with the NSR family.  Here we have a shot of daddy taking his daughter for a swim.

As I said before there were not many people out, but we had some of the best local surfers in the lineup doing their thing.  This is a shot of “El Chispero” Dominguez who is starting to hit the lip now.  Good job buddy!!!

Larry “Carita de Venado” Davila was out as well trying to improve his skills because he wants to beat “La Bestia” in the upcoming contest.  Check him out going big with an interesting maneuver on this right.

There were some sizeable sets coming in at Machete pt today and only a couple of spongers were out there killing it all by themselves.  Don’t’ you believe me?  Check this picture out and imagine being there!!!

Jamil “El Coki” Brox wanted to be part of the action today and decided to paddle out and catch a few barrels as always.  Here he is setting up to get some shade because it was so sunny today.

As always some of the best waves came through with no takers.  What a shame!!!

The last shot of the today came out from our archives.  This is Gerardito “La Polita” Herrera taking off on a sick left earlier this year.  The waves should be fun tomorrow so stay tuned with us.
