Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Hi everybody, welcome to the Wednesday surf report.  This is Roberto “Lucha Libre” Garcia bringing you some surf action from one of our favorite spots down south.  Today we woke up super early in the morning because we wanted to get some surf and take advantage of the good conditions. The waves were fun running about head high to over head on sets with perfect offshore winds.  This spot wasn’t working very well, but there were a couple of nice waves coming through.  Check out the lineup.

The surf doesn’t get this good very often in October because we have a lot of storm patterns usually during this month.  Today was one of the best days we have had in a while.  D-Lite is caught here watching this barreling right with no takers right before we paddled out.

A couple of locals got a ride to the beach with us and they were having fun because they were surfing some good waves.  Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro was putting on his own show out there today doing some sick maneuvers and getting a few barrels.

Edwin “El Tuzo” Morales was inspired because as soon as he paddled out he hooked up with this little nugget.  Here we have a shot of him with a nice snap on his first wave of the morning.

TODAY’S SPANISH CLASS:
This is Jorge “El Chipero” Dominguez getting some speed on one of the cleaner waves that came in this morning.  This little kid is only 16 years old and has only been surfing for 11 months and he’s already charging.

Este es Jorge “El Chispero” Dominguez tomando velocidad sobre una de las olas mas limpias que entraron esta manana.  Este chico tiene solo 16 anos de edad y a estado surfeando por casi 11 meses y ya esta cargando.

The lineup was not crowded today, these 4 guys had it all to themselves.  So there were a couple of sweet waves that came through with nobody on them.  Here we have this smoking right to prove it.

D-Lite is not felling good right now, he’s a little sick but he still paddled out today to catch a few good ones.  Here he is taking off on a nice left hander, hoping to get the best shack in October.

Today we took this shot from our archives of “El Mope” Miranda.  He’s not in town right now, he’s spending some time in Germany with some of his friends.  Hey buddy, we hope you are doing well and we hope to have you back down here soon so we can catch some waves together.  The swell is sticking around for the next few days but we are supposed to get onshore winds tomorrow.  We hope the forecast is wrong this time, so we can get some fun waves and we’ll be there to bring you all the action.  God willing!!!
