Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, October 21, 2020

Javier Baldovinos

Happy Hump Day everyone! This is Baldo reporting from Colorado. Today we had a rainy morning so I was expecting the worst for surf conditions but by around 9:30 am the rain stopped and this is what I found...

Javier Baldovinos

The tide was dropping really quick and the wind was threatening to swith onshore but the waves were doing their thing just the way we like.

Javier Baldovinos

There was room for all kind of surfing... the fast lanes for the shortboards...

Javier Baldovinos

And a few not so steep and not so fast for the average surfer to get the feeling of Colorado.

Javier Baldovinos

With the tide reaching the lowest point, some of the drops were challenging but the surfers knew exactly how to handle them.

Javier Baldovinos

If you can handle the drop you can definitely can handle the caverns that appeared after in some of the set waves. Look at that lip!

Javier Baldovinos

That section came too fast for this guy to make it out but he stood there, riding deep and fast for a couple of seconds before the whole thing imploded.

Javier Baldovinos

There were only 6 guys in the water so, many waves went empty and beautiful, great for mind surfing the hell out of them.

Javier Baldovinos

Unknown surfer enjoying the Nicaraguan barrels by himself... who's dying to be there? I need my knee to get better so I can go back in the water!

Javier Baldovinos

I need to get back in the water before all of you start coming again!

Javier Baldovinos

Look who's there! Just by looking at his style I think this is the one and only NSR's drone expert pilot, Concierge, surf reporter and Social Media manager, Chris Russell!

Javier Baldovinos

The forecast said that it was going to start raining in the afternoon but the rain never came so, probably there were plenty of good waves with the incoming tide.

Javier Baldovinos

Let's all hope tomorrow the conditions will be at least the same (or better!), it should be fun the rest of the week... if the wind and rain don't mess up our plans. Cheers!
