Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, October 21, 2008

We all know that Pancho Sanchez, NSR founder, is back in the US right now. Now we know what he's been doing....and you are not going to believe this until you see it!!!

We are proud to announce the candidacy of our own Pancho Sanchez for the Presidency of the United States of America.   Using his vast knowledge of internet marketing and broad network of friends, Pancho has slowly been building a groundswell of support.  Response is so strong that he's been the recent subject of several news reports and is planning on doing the talk show circuit.  We don't know if he stands a chance but we do know that he brings a strong work ethic (especially when the surf is flat) and he's got WAY more experience than Sarah Palin.

Hi folks, this is Come Pan Panic bringing you the action for the Tuesday surf report from out here at Playa Maderas.  Today we finally had a fun day in the water with perfect surfing conditions.  The waves were overhead on sets and the wind stayed offshore until around 3:00 in the afternoon, which is great news. This was the best day we have had so far this month.   Check it out.

We got to the beach super early, so there were not many people out just a crew from Germany that got a ride with “La Prenda”.  This is the best day since they arrived here so they decided to spend the night at the hostel.  They want to make sure that they are the first guys in the water tomorrow morning.   Here we got a shot of one of them trying to hit the lip on this nice sizeable wave.

There were a couple of nice waves with good form to be had, but the bigger sets were closing out.  It looks like the German guys had the waves all to themselves this morning because here we have another shot of a guy from their crew.

Not many locals paddled out today, only JF “El Friky” Dangla was out there representing the local crew.  Here he is with a nice looking off the top.

“La Panga” was reading the stars last night and he saw some waves in the future.  So this morning he showed up to the beach and scored a couple of fun ones.  Here is a shot of one of the better waves that he caught on his big board.  As always he was charging on that thing!!!

This is another shot we picked from the archives for today’s surf report.  We have Mario “El Danino” Martinez doing what he does best “Getting a Sick Barrel”.  This photo was taken by Lucha Libre in July of 2008.

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  Tomorrow we are thinking to go somewhere else where we can get some sweet barrels because the winds are supposed to be offshore and the waves should be about the same size as today.
