NSR

Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, October 15, 2009

Hi folks, what’s going on?  We are the NSR boys bringing you a little bit of the action we had on the beach today at one of the most popular surf spots down south.  The waves were running about head high to over head on sets with light offshore winds.  It was very inconsistent and it looks like we had a weird direction for this spot, so there were a lot of waves closing out.  Check it out!

The lineup was completely empty this afternoon.  We could not believe it, there were only 6 guys out in the lineup and a few other beginners trying to catch some waves in the inside.  Did we said closed out waves, make your own call on this one!

The best waves were breaking at Machete Pt but when the big sets came in they closed out as well.  This is Tiago from Brazil with a sweet shot.  Nice background, uh!

This is Max from Fl going big with a cool round house on this left.  He was the only surfer that was catching some waves in the beach break.

A couple other dudes decided to spend the day on the beach, or we should say out of the water.  This was one of the ways to keep out of the ricks of the huge currents we had out there.

On this shot we have David taking one of the cleaner waves of the day.  Check him out about to make it into that barrel section.

Shaggy was the only local that was on the beach this afternoon, but he was not surfing.  As you can see on this shot he was doing a surf lesson and earning some extra money for the big party we are going to have this weekend.

We don’t know this guy but he was surfing with a peculiar style on that fun board.  Sweet style my friend!  I bet he was having a blast on that thing.

The ladies were smarter and spend the day drinking some beers and sharing with their friends.  Salud beautiful lady!

The swell is supposed to drop a little bit tomorrow, so we hope to have better shape and charge some good waves.

Peace and love fellas!!!
