Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Hi folks, this is the NSR family bringing you all the action for this Wednesday surf report.  Today we went to beach in the morning, to take advantage of the incoming tide.  The new swell finally hit us today and we had some nice sizeable waves coming through.  It was well over head on sets with nice offshore winds.  Check out the lineup!!!

Lots of people showed out to the beach today but almost nobody could make it out.  The waves were really powerful and we don’t even have to talk about the currents.  First time ever, Lucha Libre paddled out into some over head waves to try to get some water shots.  Here we have Tom from Fl with a cool off the top on this sweet left.

As we said before, lots of people tried to make it out but the battle was too hard and most of them gave up and other ones decided to stay in the middle to catch the small ones.  Here we have Peter having so much fun on this little nugget.

There were some killer waves coming in at Machete Pt, and a few guys were killing it out there.  This is Dave picking up a sick looking left.

Now we have Chris from Canada riding a decent right all the way in to the beach.  This time of the year there are not many guys charging the big waves.  We mostly have only beginners in the inside.

The ladies were killing it in white water, they were having a blast out there.  This is Melissa with a solid stand up on this mushy one.

Jeremy from Canada was one of the very few international surfers that made it out to the lineup.  Check him out with a sick shot in front of the rocks at Machete pt.

A few other beginners were getting pounded every time they tried to charge a wave.  Here we have this one about to go for a diving on this little heavy right.

If you don’t like big waves, there is always something to do on the beach.  Don’t you think so?

Bunch of locals made it out determinate to score some good waves.  This is Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro with a sweet frontside move.

Corage took his super panga out and was dropping into some dangerous waves at Machete Pt.  Here he is taking a nice one.  This one actually broke his leash and his board ended up on the rocks.

“El Mope” Miranda got back to the action and was charging on some of the bigger set waves of the day.  We haven’t had lot of rain this year yet but the mountains start looking a little green.  Check out the background on this one.

On this killer shot we have Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro going big with a sweet round house.  Who said Lucha doesn’t snap good water shots, uh!

The last action surfing shot goes to “La Bestia” Calderon with a huge spray.  That one looks good from the back, doesn’t it?

Alright folks, that’s all for today.  The swell is building through the next few days so make sure to stay tuned with us.

Hold on a second folks, we can not sign out without throwing this shot in.  Free massage for somebody!!!
