Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, October 08, 2019

Brian Scott

Tuesday surf report here with not much to report in the afternoon. Was onshore by the time I had a chance to get down there today unfortunately and not a single person was out.

Word on the street was it was pretty good out there earlier, however I was tied up and couldn’t shoot until later today.

It doesn’t happen too often being I live bear the beach, but getting skunked even happens for us photographers from time to time.

Hows this for a throw back?? This was exactly 2 years ago today. The entire Tola region got annihilated by tropical storm Nate and this what was left of our beach.

Check out this sink hole at the beach club from all the water that was running through Hacienda Iguana. It was a pretty devastating storm that left many people without food, water and even some without a place to stay due to the sever flooding. The camaraderie of how quickly people came together to help out was beyond incredible. Let’s hope this storm that’s predicted for around the 15th doesn’t give us a repeat story lesson!!! #neverforget

I can’t not have a surf shot on the surf report so here’s another throw back, but in much better conditions and better times from 2015. Hotstickks was on the duties this day and man does it look super fun!

Pondering the ocean, life and October.

This is not what I like to see when I look at the sea.

Ran up to to the top of my house to grab the last little bit of light and the brilliant colors that the stormy weather sunset was throwing down. Ominous, yet beautiful all at the same time!  Sorry for the lack of better surf shots, I’m hoping to have a better redemption session mañana!  Saludos ~
