NSR

Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, October 07, 2007

Well, it seems that we are settling into our typical October wind pattern - Onshore! It's times like these when we look to other activities to keep us from going insane. Fortunately for us, the crew from Surfari Charters threw us a bone earlier this week and took NSR on a special charter to SUBU land. While we are under a strict confidentiality agreement on the exact location, we did receive permission to post some of the photos. Check it out!

We came out swinging and started catching fish almost immediately. After about an hour, we had a cooler full of nice Mackerel. At 7:30am Mr. Brown brought in the first Wahoo and in keeping with the Va Pue tradition, we also cracked open our first Tonas. Here is Mr. Brown and Jimbo posing with our future fish tacos.

With Gorgeous George and Jimbo running the show, we were always on the fish. Here's Mr. Brown and GG adding some diversity to the cactch with a nice Roosterfish.

With 5 lines in the water, double and triple hookups were not uncommon. This is Brown and I, on two Wahoo and trying not to get our lines tangled.

Oh yeah Mr. Brown - mine looks a little bigger than yours! The final count read something like this: 4 Wahoo, 11 Mackerel, 1 Roosterfish, 2 Jacks. Yes, the forearms were sore. Big ups to Surfari Charters for the invite. You guys kill it! It's no wonder you win all the fishing tournaments. Special thanks also to Erin at EBOSurfPhotos for sending us the shots!
