Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, October 04, 2020

Brian Scott

Welcome to a wet and rather dismal rainy Sunday folks! we had rain pretty much the entire morning. It let up for a short bit in the early afternoon and the sun actually came out for a while, but the onshore winds slopped up the surf so it was slim pickings. But rain or shine… that’s how we roll!!

One dude out and I thought it’d be a completely empty lineup haha!

By the time I pulled my camera out, it actually started to look a little fun out there.

And before I knew it, some other October die hards were already making their way down.

Lucas rolling the dice for that infamous October swell. We shall see for those who stayed during the statistically rainiest month of the year.

John came out to play too and it showed with this super laid back and carefree style of surfing.

Look even more heads were coming out as I’m sure like myself, saw the sun finally creeping out for a moment, which meant it was time to check the surf.

This is Liam who was walking down the beach with his mom Maira. They’re locals and in the middle or almost finished (I should say) completing their new beach front home here…. as you saw just footsteps away from both Playa Colorado and Panga Drops.

Brian Scott

Well, since there wasn’t a whole lot of action I figured I would make it wrap, or finish with Johns cool backside wrap here and call it a day.

Actually, the real truth was my little perfect sunny window came to a close and this was what was coming in fast from the ocean. Gotta love the ocean, the rain and all of mother natures sides of life, whether it’s perfect or not. I’ll see you all on the flip side tomorrow! Saludos ~
