Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, September 30, 2008

What’s up guys, thank you to joining with us for the Tuesday surf report.  Today we had a lot of rain again and it has been overcast all day.  We were supposed to have some good size waves today, but unfortunately it was running only around waist to chest high on sets, the wind was ONSHORE and the water was very brown.  Check it out.

Today we decided to do something interesting and crazy for the report. So we took “Jairo’s” little puppy “Kyla” out to teach her how to surf. As you can see in this shot we are getting ready to catch some waves.

Here is a shot of “Jairo”s” puppy catching her fist wave.  At first she was scared of the water and didn’t want anything to do with it but after a couple of nice wipe outs she started to do pretty well.

We convinced Jairo to take the long board out and see if he could get a couple of waves of his own.  Roberto hasn’t had much experience with the water camera but after taking a few on the head, he got the hang of it and got a couple of decent shots.

After catching a couple of waves, we came up with a good way to spend the rest of the afternoon.  Codo said that he knew of a good hill just out of town that we could try to surf down.  Here is the man himself getting ready to do his thing.

This is a shot of Codo looking down from the top of the hill, we thought that it looked a little dangerous but he assured us that it would be a piece of cake.  We think that the beer hat might be doing all of the talking.

You can only imagine how funny this scene was, we all laughed so hard that our stomachs were hurting.   It took him a few tries and a few really good wipe outs, but once he got it wired he was unstoppable.  We have to give Codo credit because he made a dreary afternoon so much fun.  Please join us again tomorrow to see if the waves and the weather will get better.
