Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, September 29, 2020

Brian Scott

Happy Tuesday Ya’ll!! Well, the swell we were all so excited for that actually started to show last night came in a little more today however it was pretty ripped out with the low tide in the AM and it was running pretty fast and a bit walled up. Checked around some of the other nearby breaks, but it was about the same. Needless to say, there’s a happy ending to todays story so jump on in and check it out!

Brian Scott

Haha - This is exactly how I felt today every time I went to the beach to check it, knowing my beloved local surfers went and found better surf-able waves at point breaks or other places accessible by boat.

So what do you do when everyone decides to leave for the better part of the day. You roll the dice (cause that’s all you have) and you hope the conditions turn magical for the afternoon session…. which as you can see, it DID!

Brian Scott

This looks nothing like today earlier, accept maybe the size.

Brian Scott

And these ones were the in-betweener smaller ones.

Then out of nowhere, these thick heavy sets would pop up out of deep water.

Brian Scott

Between the volleyball court peeps and all the people chilling at Casa Hacienda Colorado as well as all the beach goers, everyone was on their toes when these sets rolled through.

D-man on C-Bomb!

Brian Scott

The Growler VS. the Fowler!!! This was right before this thing blew up Derek sending him straight into his board smacking it with the back of his head which in turn buckled his trusty Fowler surfboard that he’s pretty much ridden every day during his Corona staycation. Hope your noggin’s feeling better buddy!!

Brian Scott

Super sick angle and double shot of Matt laying down a nice bottom turn on this beast, while Ricky’s up top getting the night n’ light water shots from above.

Brian Scott

It kinda went full circle as the tide was sucking back out again after a long day of many waves for everyone from all over the Tola region today. Let’s hope it stays heavy for tomorrow again too!

Brian Scott

Nothing like one of those melting sun after-burn kinda sunsets!

Brian Scott

Nothing like coming in after a good swim and surf session and checking the keepers (which I’m sure Rick got plenty of!)

Brian Scott

Alright my Tuesday crew…. that’s a wrap for today. Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back here again tomorrow. Cheers ~
