Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, September 26, 2005

OK, we've got a possible clearing trend developing. We've still got chest high junk in SJDS, and the beaches are a mess from all the rain. Here is Lester, making the most of it.

Here is young Rex, giving Luis a run for his money busting big airs.

At least the stormy conditions make a killer evening sky...

Check out the "Cara del Jairo", I mean "Indio" in the background.

When the surf is like this, Agusto breaks out the skateboard.

On a serious note - Kambute - good friend and captain of the Dirty Sanchez had a bad accident last night. He wanted me to tell everyone it was a shark attack at Colorado to help thin out the crowds, but it wasn't. It was a bar fight here in San Juan Del Sur. He punched through a glass window and a giant shard fell down on his bicep, cutting everything down to the bone. Really, he cut 3 veins, a tendon and almost his whole bicep. It was gruesome to say the least. The good news is that after 50+ stitches, he is recovering in the Rivas hospital. The bad news is that he's out of commission for the foreseeable future - at least a couple of months. Heal up fast my friend - we need you back in action.
