Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, September 24, 2009

Hi everybody, welcome to the Thursday surf report.  Today the waves were a little bit smaller than yesterday but there were still many fun ones coming in.  It was running about chest to shoulder high on sets and the wind was nice offshore.  Check it out!!!

Last night we finally had a pretty hard rain all night but that didn’t stop the people going to the beach.  There were a few international people enjoying the day but the sun never came out.  Here we have a shot of the scene.

The lineup was not crowded at all.  There were only about 5 locals out and 3 or 4 other guys having a blast in the water.  Here we have one of the local going big with a killer backside maneuver.

It is not usual when you have some people on beach and they don’t paddle out.  That’s what happened today.  We had some people on the beach but almost nobody made it out.  This is DJ Dientito riding a nice little nugget.

There were a couple of longboarders taking advantage of the really good surf conditions we had.  Check out Alfredo having fun on his 11 feet super panga.

A few other ones just decided to get some attention wearing some fun stuff like this one.  Caperusita is not here yet buddy!!!

The water was a little chilly but Lucha was doing the best to snap some interesting water shots.  Here is Calibilly Zapata with a man fun spray on this left.

Even a better shot, uh.  “La Baloy” Chamorro showing his fins out.  It was a shame we didn’t have good light this afternoon because this one would be a sick one.

The waves are supposed to be small for the next days but we are guessing it will be super fun to take some longboards out.
