Javier Baldovinos

Hello NSR fans, it's time for your daily fix of surfing. Today mother nature provided us with a small dose of waves, please take it slowly.

Javier Baldovinos

Small but good! The waves were super fun all day, they had a great shape throughout the different tides.

Javier Baldovinos

As good (surfing) addicts that we all are, most don't care much about the size, if it's good we'll take it... and sometimes, when it's bad, we'll take it too!

Javier Baldovinos

We see an empty wave and we can instantaneously imagine ourselves ripping it into pieces, buckets of water out the back, massive carves, deep barrels, the longest floaters to pass a difficult section, you name it, mind surfing is awesome!

Javier Baldovinos

With good conditions we all are like kids, jumping around out of excitement, going for every wave that comes near us. And it's great to be a kid when the surf is small so you can get on those little barrels.

Javier Baldovinos

This kids was killing it today, he was able to get in those little barrels with no problem... the rest of the (grown up) surfers were too tall for that.

Javier Baldovinos

On a few waves he even came out of the barrel with such speed that had to grab the rail on a round-house to keep control of the board.

Javier Baldovinos

I think this guy had the best board for these conditions... fat and big enough to catch the waves early but a great design to go big on small.

Javier Baldovinos

With such small energy in the ocean, the water starts to get very clear and clean. It probably getting really good to go spearfishing.

Javier Baldovinos

Today would have been really fun for my 8 year old son, you know, head high and pumping just the way we all like.

Javier Baldovinos

I'll try to bring him tomorrow morning to hopefully get some nice rides and get excited once again with surfing. (it's been really hard to keep him motivated when the waves are humongous).

Javier Baldovinos

Please, behave yourselves, find composure... I promise in a few more days we'll have a great fix for your surfing addiction, when the next swell arrives with bigger and better waves for us to enjoy. Cheers!
