Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, September 20, 2020

Brian Scott

Howdy amigos…. I hope you all have been having a great weekend? Brian here, bringing you today’s Sunday Funday surf report and what a fun day of waves it was indeed! We had some really nice and clean conditions with some super fun waves out front, so come on in and check it out!

Brian Scott

Now this is how I always remember September!! I’m sure everyone else here does too.  Well, it’s never too late for a good thing to come for this 2020 season, right?

Brian Scott

Anyone who was out there today, knew it was a pretty awesome day to hit the waves. I knew just by the headcount. It was up there, considering how little amount of people are actually here right now.

Brian Scott

Carlitos Jr. slapping Carlos Señor (aka dad) a nice High 5 after catching a good one from the outside by mom.

Brian Scott

Whaaaa whaaa WHAAAAT! Wait is that Big Scotty busting an air! Yea, you can tell he didn’t quite make this one, but still gotta give him some props going for the more futuristic moves! Nice one buddy!!! Pretty soon, you’ll be landing them like Kev and Jackson!

Brian Scott

Hey speaking of Mr. Jackson, here he is!

Brian Scott

Everyone (well) just about everyone was out enjoying the nice fun clean waves that we’ve finally had for a little while now.

Brian Scott

Ari sticking around just a little while longer, just in time to stick this sick little floater/backside cutback combo maneuver.

Brian Scott

Looks like Jackson may have been gifted with a super sick new “Slater Designs” surfboard.

Brian Scott

I think I may know who might have made it possible for him to have such a magical board under his feet, and I think the board came with some extra “Mana Powers” from the previous rider!! Sick board and sick style on your new shred stick hermano!

Brian Scott

Some of the ladies were out there getting it done as well. Jenny tackling some of the juicy stuff we had on tap for today.

Brian Scott

Rutciel getting in on some of the action too! Yeah girls!!

Brian Scott

I couldn’t help but take a little look up the way towards the reef… muy triste! Pangas looking so sad and all alone. Don’t worry amigo, you’ll have plenty of surfers back up your way very soon!!!!

Brian Scott

Its funny because right after I shot this sequence of Derek, the song “Fly like and Eagle” from the Steve Miller band popped into my head…. and its been there ever since. Haha - don’t do it… don’t hum the song… or its gonna be in your head for the rest of the day!

Brian Scott

You know what…? I don’t think I’ve ever done a “Mystery Man Hack Attack” person - or is it a girl? Hmmmm… inquiring minds would like to know! But damn isn’t that spray ridiculous!!

Brian Scott

Here’s what good style, busy, efficient and a well rounded surfer looks like on a single wave. Mr. Kevin Cortez bringing home the gold!

Brian Scott

And here’s what up and coming surfer Erin Books does pretty much on every wave she catches all the way from the outside to the sand. Nicely done chica!!

Brian Scott

Well, that’s the close of todays surf report and also our weekend fun in the sun. Let’s hope that tomorrow has similar constancy like today. I’ll be out there, hope to see ya down at the beach too!!! Dale pues chicos ~
