Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, September 19, 2022

Brian Scott

Happy Monday and welcome to yet another week from Nica-Land! We had some pretty stiff onshore winds, even from early on, and it only got stronger as the day progressed; so with the very apparent looming dark grey skies moving in our direction and after checking the surf a few times, I figured today was a wash for capturing anything “surf” related, but again that’s when it’s time to put on the ol’ thinking cap and showcase some of the other areas of this place that make it so special! Hope you enjoy ~

So after COVID restrictions were lifted and this place went back to its usual #1 surf destination in Nicaragua (if you like yourself some really amazing barrels), for many of you who haven’t been back (yet) or maybe still deciding on whether to make this your next surf spot or stamp in your passport. I wanted to take a little drive around and show you all how much progression is and has been going on for the last year or so. And it’s exactly this…… land, land and more land! This particular lot looks like it’s going to be pretty amazing once it’s finished!

Here’s one of my good buddies lot that he’s currently building on. It’s (obviously a beach lot) but he’s not sparing any expense when considering turning this jungle piece into an exquisite piece of art nestled and developed to mesh and blend in with the jungle from which it exists.

Another beach lot going UP! If I told you how much these beach lots went for when this place originated, yes, you would cry like I did.

Across from the beach lots properly also known as the “B” lots. The photo I took of this beast doesn’t really do it justice when you see the full size scale of this structure in person.

Want to keep your budget down but still live in one of the most desirable surf spots along the Emerald Coast? There are a lot (pun intended) of opportunities just waiting to be all yours anywhere along our very lush and amazing still very affordable golf course.

The unique thing about Hacienda Iguana has many facets as to why or what would make one want to buy property here. Obviously, if you’re a surfer, that’s a complete “No-Brainer”! But besides the beautifully well kept golf course, the white sand beach(s), some of the best sunsets ever seen in the world and quite the variety of options of many different culturally favorable restaurants, what many people don’t know is Hacienda Iguana is the only resort like it that sits completely flat (meaning no hills, or crazy terrain and incline roads that would more times than not give you quite the heart race on a good and rainy day when it’s slippery) but this place actually sits on an ogallala aquifer, which in laymen terms means, this place is abundant with fresh water. As a prospecting land buyer, this is HUGE, especially when considering investing in a country like here in Latin America.

It’s still only September and everyone is pretty much accepting that October will probably most likely be one of the wettest Octobers in over a decade (Oct is factually the wettest month of the year always), but this is also a time of year that a lot of people go back to wherever they’re usually originally from to visit family, friends and see people and do things that you need or like to do (aka take a little break from here while it rains, a lot).

Brian Scott

Hows this house coming along and the views they’re going to have watching people play through while golfing and watching that super stunning morning sunrise every day as this particular home faces East, one of the many rare homes here facing that direction, while most other places here face the west.

Brian Scott

This one is literally right next door. They’ll have all the exact same benefits that I just listed above.

A lot of construction going on…. but again this is to help showcase as it’s not that often that we take a stroll through the body of this amazing community.

Of course I saved my personal favorite (for last) and what EVERYONE here is highly excited and or anticipating with what my good friends from the states purchased and completely tore down and are remodeling from the ground up which was for a long long time before known as the “Wave Garden” and what it will look like once those super highly secret walls come down???? Hmmmmm  :)

Brian Scott

Here’s what doing a complete “about face” turn around from that previous shot and where this house sits proportionately on the beach looks like. Well, today’s not the best day to show you how sick the wave is right out front……..

Brian Scott

BUT, just to give you a little taste of what it will look like 3/4 of the rest of the year. Here ya go!!!

Brian Scott

Or here’s an even better pulled back version. Hows that saying go again…… “Location, location, location!” Jajajaja

And then there were these monkeys I saw jamming around on their motorbikes. My friends from a land down under. No, not that land under but the other one. The land down under us. My good friends whom I’ve known for years from Brazil. Bienvenido de nuevo mis amigos!!!

So, I hope you enjoyed the little mini tour of Hacienda Iguana and giving you a little update with how this place is coming along. I would definitely not wait, but if you’re considering investing in this place or have been thinking about it, I would jump on it ASAP! I highly implore you to reach out directly and call (from the USA Int'l (415) 424-4767 OR in Nicaragua + 505 8366-9947), with any Real Estate inquiries OR you can contact him directly via e-mail @: [email protected] to talk, call, ask any questions, or shoots go have a cup of coffee with Mr. Carl Segerstrale, one of the longest running and most successful realtors here in Nicaragua.
