Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, September 09, 2018

Brian Scott

Happy Sunday everyone! If you were here for the report yesterday, you would recall how big and chunky the surf was, and how we were crossing our fingers for a better day today with some cleaned up conditions. Well, the surf is still big and chunky, and those winds didn’t really turn around enough to make it perfect like it normally would be; but all in all, surfers being surfers, everyone was out and making the best of it. So let’s check it out!

Brian Scott

Bienvenido de nuevo amigo, Kei Kobayashi!

Brian Scott

How do you like to handle your double ups. Kick out the back, pump til you catch that sucker, get sucked over the falls and call it a day??? Well let Gallo Pinto show you.

Brian Scott

This is the optimal way to ride out your everyday double up.

Brian Scott

Todays closeout special brought to you by todays unruly surf.

Brian Scott

Kevin takes his barrels clean or dirty, he surfs good enough to make any barrel look proper. He actually made this believe it or not and it didn’t even look makable. But then again, it is Kevin.

Brian Scott

The PD reef looking a lot cleaner and really BLUE!

Brian Scott

If only Oscar were sponsored by Nike, oh wait, that’s right they stopped sponsoring surfers. Well, actually they still give a select few some shoes here and there, but who wears shoes at the playa anyways?? Oscar needs a good Flip Flop deal!!

Brian Scott

The local kids are luckily sponsored by the “The Dude” nam miojo rengue kyo, also known as “Stop and Go Surf”. Shaaaaakaaa BRAH!!

Brian Scott

And this guy too who has played a big role in getting boards to all the local kids here. Jamie Kocher on a frothy one.

Brian Scott

I mean a really really frothy one!

Brian Scott

For a long time there were tree huggers…. its about time we finally have some wave huggers!

Brian Scott

Kei, like he never left this place. I think it’s his secret second favorite place to be.

Brian Scott

Carlos no hand backside balling on this one in front of BIG Scott.

Brian Scott

It’s that doggy door face.

Brian Scott

Kev’s surfing is…. Explosive!!!

Brian Scott

Ryan, practically taking off under the lip on this mutant thing thanks to the onshore winds.

Brian Scott

So Cal’s infamous "Wedge" comes to Colorados.

Brian Scott

Jamie taking a crack at one of the many wedgy chunky waves that came through today.

Brian Scott

There’s always light at the end of the tunnel….!!!! Right??? Let’s see how things play out by tomorrow folks. Until then, thanks for always stopping by. Hope you all have an Awesome week!!! Yewwwww ~
