Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, September 08, 2018

Brian Scott

Hola amigos! Welcome to todays surf report. We currently have some big chunky waves coming in from this new swell. It’s a little unorganized, but the surfers were out and trying to make the best of it.

Brian Scott

The weather, although it was calling for 90% chance of rains by this late afternoon, still made for a great beach walk around sunset time. p.s. the rain never came.

Brian Scott

But the peanut gallery did. All eyes on things like….

Brian Scott

This!

Brian Scott

Carlos going for the super late drop on a big one.

Brian Scott

He managed to make the drop

Brian Scott

But the thing just outran him. You can’t win em all, despite the great effort!

Brian Scott

The winds weren’t so offshore, so it was pretty crumbly, hence making the barrels (what little of them there were out there) look like a hunting game of seek and find.

Brian Scott

The side shore and onshore winds pair well with the air game here like a crackers n fruit and a good white wine. Although, Jeison is more of Flor de Caña kind of guy.

Brian Scott

If anyone was to find a good barrel out there, it would be of course, Carlos Perez.

Brian Scott

How’d you like that one brutha!

Brian Scott

Did someone say, Toña time??

Brian Scott

Lesther cracking open one of his own personal favorite beverages of choice for happy hour.

Brian Scott

This is how he adds the lime.

Brian Scott

People still making their way out to the lineup with very little time left with sunlight.

Brian Scott

Lets hope them devil onshore winds calm down by tomorrow so we can enjoy this beautiful swell.

Brian Scott

My unknown mystery barrel surfer of the day goes to this guy.

Brian Scott

Not one of our best days in terms on conditions.

Brian Scott

Matter of fact, this just doesn’t even look fun at all. haha Best to take full advantage of happy hour today and watch the carnage go down from the playa.

Brian Scott

Calitos navigating….

and adverting disaster with precision.

Brian Scott

Big waves on tap out there. Lets hope for some better winds tomorrow.

Brian Scott
