Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, September 02, 2018

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Sunday surf report. Waves were in the small fun zone and a couple showers came through (which we can probably expect a little more of this week) but with that said, we also have a few bumps in swell; one tomorrow and a substantially larger swell by the end of this week. My prediction is this week’s gonna be a really fun one!

Brian Scott

Sometimes you have to stick out out through the mundane and less than ideal surf conditions from time to time.

Brian Scott

I mean this is all a part of surfing. Right?

Brian Scott

But you know how much we love to come back for more. Like this guy’s level of wanting so badly to get barreled today.

Brian Scott

Never give up. EVER!!

Brian Scott

If you feel like the ocean’s getting the best of you, you can always fight back with a big fat long board. This way you’re certain not to lose when your wave count is as good as your paddling ability.

Brian Scott

Katie really making the short-boarding look fun out there this afternoon.

Brian Scott

Maybe today was the best day for teaching the little guppies how to catch waves for the first time.

Brian Scott

Mamma guppie showing off her skills, on a soft top to boot. Normally she’s charging the bigger stuff on her regular short board hunting for the best barrels of the day.

Brian Scott

Little peaks all up and down the beach…. if you need space, we have plenty of it.

Brian Scott

This angle should be all kinds of different by the end of this weeks surf reports.

Brian Scott

And so will Maycol’s surfing. The kids practice is improving each session.

Brian Scott

I’m sure there’s gonna be a lot of this. But then again, what is surfing without the occasionally epic wipeouts!?!

Brian Scott

Here’s Maycol again… check out his stance. He’s getting better and better and soon he will be slaying some of the biggest and best barrels out here.

Brian Scott

A few of the waves today were connecting all the way across, where one of the surfers had to make the decision to kick out first.

Brian Scott

Kinda like a game of chicken. This wasn’t necessarily one of those waves, but when they came through, it was fun to watch.

Brian Scott

1 foot, 2 foot, it may be small now, but not for long!!!!

Brian Scott

Lets hope the rain and weather can coincide nicely together with the upcoming swell(s). Only mother nature knows the real answer… but stay tuned to see for yourselves! Thanks for stopping by like always. Hope you have a great week ahead… see you soon!! Cheers ~
