Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, August 31, 2021

Brian Scott

Bienvenido al reporte de surf del martes de hoy! It’s been raining the entire day with very little windows of just light sprinkles. But surfing in the rain isn’t the problem, it was the pesky onshore winds. (*spoiler alert - there wasn’t a whole lot to shoot when I timed my window with the least amount of rain to see what was actually going on down at the playa).

Brian Scott

Should I stay or should I go now? All kinds of eyes peeping todays conditions from the dense green jungle.

Brian Scott

I was surprised to see a handful of people actually out… check the murky brown river runoff water in the background. No thanks! jajaja

SOOO…. what’s one to do when we don’t have our photo perfect days, well it’s always fun to take a trip down the NSR archives memory lane.  Here’s Dario one year ago today. This was maybe the most epic year ever, considering 99% of the rest of the world was going through major withdrawals and every other kind of financial, physical and mental difficulties that came with the onset of the corona virus.

Check out how nice and clean and BIG it was August 31st in 2019!

Brian Scott

2017 saw some pretty pristine glassy conditions on this day.

Brian Scott

WOW, now if only we could have our sunny offshore days back like the one in 2017!

Brian Scott

Unfortunately, not every day is perfect and epic. So we gotta be grateful for what and when we do have those magical days!

The perfect perch and actually I didn’t even see this kid in the tree as I walked right under him and when I looked back, I was super surprised to see him up there checking the waves from his unique choice for a surf check! See, like I said “There were all kinds of eyes peeping todays conditions from the dense green jungle”.

Hoping mañana is less rainy, but the forecast is saying don’t count on it. But we’ll see…. until then, Dale pues ~
