Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, August 30, 2020

Brian Scott

Welcome to the Sunday Funday surf report! Another super fun day of waves here in Nica-Land. Here’s to ending off August with a bang and really good waves!!!

Brian Scott

Here’s also hoping the futuristic view of September will be this big and round for days on end!

Gray slip sliding right back into the foliage like the stealthy jungle cat that he is.

There was this really crazy rain squall that blew through right before I made it down to shoot. Rain here isn’t crazy, however it was the crazy freshness and cool air that it brought and left behind after the rain passed. Everyone was talking about how cold it was in the air this evening.

Brian Scott

The other thing that everyone was talking about was how good the waves and conditions were…. what do you think?

Brian Scott

Ernan definitely would have to agree. Especially with this epic view as he looks right down the barrel of this smoking gun directly into the late afternoon sun.

Brian Scott

Rights, lefts, they were a plenty. And some Solid ones too!

Brian Scott

So many mystery barrel surfers I could’t keep track. Good thing I know this goofy footers style like the back of my own hand.

Brian Scott

Super sick wrap around from this unidentified surfer. Killing it out there today amigo!

It’s been pretty cool watching the indicator popping off so constantly the last few days. Every big set that rolled through always gave the fellas out there a little heads up to paddle outside if they were drawn in too close inside. Cesar reaping the rewards of sitting out the back.

Brian Scott

Mr. Colin navigating a really funky double barrel, something that isn’t seen too often, but when they do happen, you better be bale to drive your surfboard like a race car.

Brian Scott

A lot of foam and a lot of open room for Hot Carl to move around on his custom canvas for his artwork.

Brian Scott

I see a little bit of some of classic Tommy Carol and more modern Clay Marzo, in this really sick layback snap. Watcha think???

Brian Scott

Even the inside low tide sand dredging mini bombs packed some punch as well.

Brian Scott

Little do people know that surfers have been taking a knee for years. It’s always been known that surfers and skaters usually set the trends years before they become mainstream.

Brian Scott

Although it’s the soul of surfing that’s always been the real influential timeless characteristic thing, I think, that drawls people to its allure and mystic lifestyle.

Brian Scott

Because at the end of the day…. life is always about love and happiness. Just like this moment captured in time for the rest of these two love birds lives.

Here’s hoping everyone having a fantastic week! I’ll see you all back here again for the Monday report. Yewwww ~
