Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, August 27, 2018

Javier Baldovinos

Hello everyone, welcome to Monday’s surf report from the beautiful beaches of Nicaragua. Today the weather was cloudy and the waves were small and fun.

We had scarcity on the barrel alley today… this was the closest thing I saw of a barrel, does this count as one though?

What happens when you cannot go under the lip? You go over it!

As a photographer, Tony Z knows the importance of having the right equipment to perform on a high level… here he is applying the same knowledge into surfing.

Using the right equipment according to the conditions makes a great difference on the performance. Tony Z cross-stepping on his longboard.

The Resano girls and their friends were not liking the conditions so they went horseback riding on the beach instead.

One good thing about surfing (among the thousands of great things), is that you can still surf without getting in the water… every time you see a good wave, tiny or huge, you can still mindsurf the hell out of it.

Javier Baldovinos

The few people surfing were having a great time on the small waves, especially on the rights.

But every few good rights, a good left appeared, it was a matter of patience.

Javier Baldovinos

And if you were patient enough you could hit the lip over and over again… these guys can’t complain.

This guy was having a great time with his longboard, catching long rides across the beach.

Looks like there is a small swell coming in on Tuesday and Wednesday, let’s hope it’s a good one! Have a great week everyone!
