Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, August 26, 2011

Property Update - We brought you a great deal a couple weeks ago on two adjacent golf course lots in Hacienda Iguana a short walk to Playa Colorado. Unbelievably these have not sold yet so the seller is dropping the price to $15,000 for one or $25,000 for both. This is a great chance to pick up a piece of property that can only increase in value and not to mention provide you lifetime access to one of the sickest waves in the country. Drop us a line at [email protected] if you are interested.

The Latin American Latin Pro at Playa Maderas started today, battling with the weather conditions we had, lots of rain and kinda strong onshore winds.  Surfers from 20 different countries came down and did their best to rip on some of the better waves we had.  Check it out!!!

We also did our best to get some cool shots of these guys and it was very tough.  The rain was pouring almost all day long, and we barely had a few minutes of sunshine but took advantage on those.  This is Jossie Graves from Puerto Rico about to throw the lip off the back on this left.

We were trying to get some different angles of the action, and it worked out pretty well.  Another cool shot, isn’t it?

Omar Perasa from Venezuela was doing well in the first 3 rounds, with maneuvers like this one he won every single heat he rode.

Ronald Reyes had to work a little hard to not be beaten buy our very own La Gaviota.  Here he is with a nice backside slash.

A few of the Costa Rican surfers stayed on the road, but Luis Vindas put his own showed out there.  Check him out attacking this section.

La Gaviota Chamorro was testing out his wings, and flying high.  Here he is doing his thing!

The day would not be completed without a shot of some of the cute chicks we had on the beach today.  Holaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

This pal from Peru was showing us how to land 360’s airs all day.  Here he is blasting fins out, with a sick double grab frontside air.

Rex “La Bestia” Calderon defended his country pretty well today and he’s ready to keep battling tomorrow in the 4th round.  Did we mention that the rain made our job a little hard today?

On the last shot of the day we have this buddy from Brazil looking in from a nice perspective.  We are hoping to have better conditions tomorrow so make sure to check us back out!!!
