Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, August 26, 2010

Before we get to today's surf report, we wanted to give a shout out to our friends at Surfari Charters who just got back from a big fishing tournament in N. Nicaragua.  Team Surfari Charters aboard the 25 foot panga, Va Pué, competed against a field of 30 international competitors in the IX Torneo Flor De Caña at Marina Puesta Del Sol.  Check out this photo to see the Va Pue side-by-side with one of the competitors.  Ain't no half-steppin' here - the Va Pue can hold it's own against anybody.

When it was all said and done, the Va Pué nailed down 6th place overall in the Billfish Release Division and Second place in the Kill division.  They release 5 Sails on the first day of competition and 9 on the second!!!  How's that for a PANGA!  That's an awesome job you guys!

They got some killer video footage too...stay tuned for that.  Roberto will be up next with the surf report for today.

What's up folks?  It is Lucha Libre here with the Thursday surf report.  The swell dropped today but there were still many fun waves rolling in.  It was offshore pretty much for the whole morning but later in the afternoon got a little sideshore on it.  Check it out!!!

The boy from LA were killing it today.  Here is AJ about to get some shade in the inside section of this left.

Check out Andrew picking up one of the cleaner set waves of the day.  It is a good way to celebrate your birthday man, taking lots of fun waves.

Today we drove a little bit around as well. We got so lucky to find these pink birds around one of the spots we checked out this morning.

Some crazy driving was going on the roads too.  Hope you understand when I say crazy!

A few guys were trying to get shacked all day long.  Here is caught this dude hand dragging on this one, hoping to get covered.

We got some killer pics at the end of the day.  Here I shot this unknwon rider taking off on a nice looking right.

Here is Jason with the money shot of the day.  What sweet light on this one, uh!

Alright folks, that's all for today.  Tomorrow is going to be my last day with this guys, sadly.  The swell is dropping for the next days but we are supposing to get a new one by the end of this weekend so stay tuned with us.
