Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, August 24, 2009

Hi and welcome to the Monday surf report.  Here we are once again bringing you all the action from somewhere in the pacific coast.  Folks, this swell have been really weird but we still are having a good time, catching some fun waves.  Today the waves were well over head on sets, with off and side shore winds.  Check it out!!!

The big guys from Orlando paddled out this morning and tried to score some good ones.  Here we have Larry drifting a sweet left hander.

Mike was doing the best to get into a few barrels but it was tough to get a good one because the waves kept moving around the whole day.  Anyway, here he is about to get covered.

We want to give a special shout out to a few pro surfers that were killing the bumps today, getting super huge shacks.  This time we have Gabin Beshen, Timmy Curren and Nate Tyler doing their thing down here in Nicaragua.  Check out this shot of one of them setting into one of the many sick ones they had.

This is Timmy Current making that thing looks so easy.  It was so nice to meet these guys!

We had a few other guys trying to get some waves.  This is Tim about to get into the barrel.  Nice perspective uh!!!

Here we have Miles picking up a small but sweet wave.  Pump the breaks and pull into that thing dude!

We were checking a few spots around, trying to find the best waves.  Check out this local kid bottom turning a nice left hander.

There were a few barrels to be had today but it’s really hard to find them.  Here we have this unknown rider pulling into a nice one.

We also found some rippers in the water.  Nice move my friend!!!

But the locals can rips too.  Don’t you think so?

Another unknown surfer, this time bottom turning a nice little right.  This guy had a few good ones, so that’s mean that his trip did pay off.

The waves should be fun tomorrow as well so make sure to check back with us.
