Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, August 22, 2012

Hey everyone, Brian here, bringing you the report this Wednesday, Aug. 22, here in beautiful Nicaragua. We had some steady rains early this morning and started to look like the sun wasn't going to come out today. As you can see the rain has passed and it's another day in paradise. Fun sized surf today, started out with chest to shoulder high playful peaks and steady offshore winds, with some bigger waves to be found if you were in the right spot.

A closer look at the waves coming in this morning with an unknown surfer doing the butt drag, trying to get in the right spot on this sweet backside barrel.

The sun was blazing early today, so I had to walk the shorebreak and keep my feet cool. If only I was out there staying cool throwing hacks like this guy.

Found one of our local guys, Carlos, checking out the aerodynamics of his board. I think he's ready to fly to the moon boosting like that.

The waves were looking pretty fun, and eventually the word got out. This guy just came out of nowhere, at least the other surfer was nice enough to share.

Some of the tourists were learning a thing or two from Carlos and boosting some sick frontside airs. We call this the "Gringo Air".

While some guys were boosting airs, leave it to "Pancho" to show ya how to find shade from the sun. Check him out on this frothy one, I thought he was gone and then before I knew it, he made it through the next section!

Aahh...what?? Another sweet barrel that I could've been on, and so could you! This guy is crouching down to midget size to fit in to this barrel. Big or small, the barrels here will leave you smiling : )

Well, that's it for today, I'll leave everyone drooling over this empty bomb set that came through. I guess no one had the guts to get into this one..do you? Hasta manana!
