Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, August 22, 2011

What’s up folks?  This is Lucha from down south, throwing a couple pics in for our Monday surf report.  The waves were kinda small but super fun today.  Waist to chest high waves were rolling in, the winds were nice offshore all day long and the water was nice.  Check out the lineup!!!

Some of the better local surfers were out there, practicing every single maneuver they can land in the upcoming Surf Contest at Playa Maderas this weekend.  La Baloy Chamorro was practicing his signature move!

Meanwhile his brother “La Gaviota” Chamorro was working on some speedy floaters.  The conditions are supposed to be about the same as today so we are hoping that they can make it through a couple rounds.

El Pipe Chompipe has this place dialed up, since he surf pretty much every day.  Here he is with a cool frontside slash on this left.

A few of the International Latin surfers started coming in today.  This Marcelo Rodriguez from Argentina working on his backside.

Ronald the 12 years old kid, wasn’t intimidated by Marcelo and show him that also can do the same move on his backside.  Taking care of his home break!

The lineup wasn’t busy at all, so there were many empty and fun waves rolling in by themself.  Check out this one at Machete Pt.

On the last shot of the day we have “La Pinguinita” Chamorro dropping into a nice little nugget.  We are thinking about driving up north tomorrow so hopefully we might score some better surfing up there.  Please check back tomorrow!!!
