Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Hi folks, this is Lucha Libre with the Wednesday surf report from out here at Maderas.  Today we headed out to the beach so stoked to score some fun waves with off shore wind but the wind was already onshore when we arrived to the beach.  It looks like the swell is starting to feel in the water because it was definitely bigger than yesterday with some head high sets coming through.  Check it out.

On the first surfing shot of the day we have Rex “La Bestia” Calderon with a pretty cool snap on this right.  He wasn’t worried about wind conditions today, he always rips doesn’t matter about conditions.

Luis “La Baloy” Chamorro got back to the action today after a while out of town.  Here he was caught bottom turning on one of the few clean waves that came through today.

We don’t even have to mention that Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamorro is one of the best surfers we have with on shore wind.  Here he is showing off with this cool slash.

D-Lite was able to paddle out and took a couple of fun ones as well at Machete pt.  Check him out with this cool backside move.

Today a couple friends from New York joined to the NSR family and decided to have some surf class with us, by the way this class is the best in town.  Here we have Oliver and our two students Jeff and Sara from New York.

Here is Sara working on a nice wave.  This is the first time she touches a surfboard and she stranded up.  Can you believe it?

Jeff was killing it as well.  Here he comes on a nice sizeable wave.  These guys definitely had a good time with us today.

Alright folks, the surf should be bigger tomorrow and the wind is supposed to be off shore.  So cross your fingers
