Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, August 17, 2010

What's up folks!  This is Eric and Miguel with our daily surf report.  Today we went to the beach in the morning trying to catch some good shots.  The waves were fun, running about chest to head high on sets with nice offshore winds and the water felt great.  Check out the lineup!!!

It was sunny today, a great day to get in the water.  Here is " Pancho Sanches ", surfing in his trademark red t-shirt.  He has an injured knee but he can still lay it down!

We had a few local guys in the water this morning trying to get some waves.  Here we have Felipe " El Pipe Chompipe ", ridding on this sweet right hander, one of the better waves of the day.

This is our very good friend Eric " El Payaso Trivilin ", he took a ride with us this morning and caught some really fun waves.  Check out his strong, little cutback.

Here is Augusto “ La Gaviota “ Chamorro, fending off  a couple of attacking perros!  There are a lot of wild dogs in Nicaragua.  So, everybody take care when you see a pack of dogs on the beach!

If you make it through the dogs, you might find something like this.  A long, glassy left goes by unridden.

Gotta’ give a shout out to one of the few chicas in the lineup today.  This is Manuela “La Sirenita “from Quebec, Canada, dropping in on this little nugget of a wave. She was ripping on her frontside, but she had a good backside too

On this shot we have Rex “ La Bestia “ Calderon, with a sick backside snap.  Throwin’ up buckets!

Another local guy was shredding in front of the rocks.  He is about to bust a turn where others would pull out.

After fighting with the dogs, “ La Gaviota “ Chomorro, caught  some buenas olas !

This little kid “ El Chele “ must have been about 14, here he is with a nice frontside air.  The waves were over head on him but he had mucho corage (a lot of courage).

The lineup was a little busy today, we had around 14 or 16 surfers in the water doing their thing.  This is Colin, another Canadian surfer about to throw some spray.

On the way home, we stopped to snap one more photo.  Alright folks that is all for today.  The big swell we are expecting this weekend is still on! Stayed tuned with NSR, thank you, Eric and Miguel are out!
