Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, August 16, 2010

What's up folks, Eric and Lucha coming at you with the Monday surf report.  Today we headed out to the beach in the morning trying to beat the onshore winds and we did.  The wind was on when we got there but it was super light so we scored a couple of clean ones.  Check it out!!!

There were some decent sized waves rolling in and no many people was out.  Here Lucha caught this unknown rider working on his backside style riding.

A few of the best local surfers showed out to the beach and were having a blast out there.  This is "La Gaviota" Chamorro with a sick frontside maneuver.  Check out the spray on this one, is that not sick?

How about "La Baloy" Chamorro working on his backside aerial maneuvers.  He landed a couple of frontside airs today but never finished the backside ones.  Keep preacticing my frined!!!

We didn't have many international surfers out there but we have to say that they were ripping all over the place.  Nice vertical move pal!!!

It is always a good idea to hang out with your girl when the waves are not that fun for you.  So, that's mean you will have some free time when the real waves come.  Good call flaco!

La Bestia Calderon even rips when he goes goofy.  Going big with a cool floater!!!

Rex has become one of the most succesfull surfers in Nicaragua and he is only 17 years old.  Even the local kids want to have a photo with him on the web.  Lester posing for the camera and keeping the memory.  Maybe he won't be able to get this shot in 5 years.

The swell is supposed to start building through the next days but we are expecting a huge swell this weekend so stay tuned with us and see what happens!
