Nicaragua Surf Report for Monday, August 14, 2006

Still in Guatemala...So, I think we might have fried our brakes getting here. Lake Atitlan is set at about 5500' and there are many long and windy roads to get here. This is Hot Carl, posing with the mechanic - an indiginous local with Mayan blood. Check out how small this guy is - we literally felt like we stumbled upon Lilliput or something.

Here is a shot from the lakeshore in the morning. There are small towns all around the lake and people taxi across in boats to get there.

Maybe the coolest thing about being here was the sense of history you got from the indiginous Mayans, living the same way they have for 1000 years (with the exception of selling their goods to tourists, begging for money or charging for pictures) These girls were too cute, so I paid.

Hi, this is Roberto with the surf report. Today I don't feel good a gotta terrible pain in all my body, It's looks like I gonna get sick. Anyway I am here to talk about today's surf report, It's head high on sets and the wind is light offshore.

This a nice left a Machete pt.

Today I met this chick. She's from New Zeland and she told me I ALWAYS CHECK YOUR WEB, IT'S SO NICE. So, after a while talking to her she told me I wanna show up on NSR. I told her, you are so lucky GO WALK ON THE BEACH BEND OVER FOR 2 SECOND AND YOU'LL BE ON. NO WAY that's what she told me. Anyway she is on, and took a shot of me.

La Baloy showing up again on NSR.

Gerardo with a dangerous cut back.

Come on chick, let him go. Do you want to take his tone out of his mouth!!!

Gerardito, now I am sure Kambute did teach you how to get photogenic.
