Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, August 11, 2019

Brian Scott

Happy Sunday Funday from Nicaragua! Wow, what an incredible day of waves. The surf was pumping pretty much the entire day. Very little lulls, if any, with perfect lefts and rights from sun-up to sun-down. Just another great Sunday Funday…. check it out!

Brian Scott

I got a late start to the day, making down the playa around 10AM. I heard it was REALLY good earlier in the morning. If so, then this was the average stuff haha!~

Brian Scott

Lesther, all covered up by Nica Love in August!

Brian Scott

When I said both lefts and rights were firing, need I say more?

Brian Scott

It has been a bit full with people for our average August this year… but this goes to show that things have made a turn for the better for tourism. This guys turn is for the better of his trip!

Brian Scott

Philipo on the fast track to a little tube time and not a bad place to be on this fine Sunday.

Brian Scott

The weather all day was gorgeous, which also made for good lighting for photos.  Talented surfers are a huge added bonus!

Brian Scott

Kevin always takes a little different turn, line or approach to most of his surfing. Unique would be one word to describe his artistic style on any canvas he paints.

Brian Scott

Much the same like Kevin, but working based on a huge foundation in traditional and very stylish power surfing, Colin’s lines are clean and a beautiful thing to watch every time he paddles out.

Brian Scott

The waves of August have been graced by some very talented rippers for sure!

Brian Scott

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the month of August, consistently might have seen the most barrels for 2019 and it’s still only the 11th.

Brian Scott

Still a lot of more swell on the way too….!!!

Brian Scott

Best seats in the house? Depends on where you’re sitting. We have a lot. This angles not too shabby though.

Brian Scott

Or how about this angle? Feels like you can just reach right out and grab him!

Brian Scott

Because the surf was pumping when I had to pack it up around noon, I just HAD to make a second trip back down after some other work. Here’s what the afternoon looked like.

Brian Scott

This is (most likely) Parkers last session of his surfing career with NSR, at least until the next time he comes back to visit. Not a bad way to go out, right Parker? Perfect pumping waves. Don’t worry, I placed a special order just for you hermano!

Brian Scott

Valen was one of the other very few charging chicas out there proving they have what it takes in the round tubular world of surfing.

Brian Scott

Even spotted Papa Kerson out there today opting for the green room as well.

Brian Scott

Uncle Barry showing us how much he truly loves this wave! That or he wants to give me a great big hug because sadly he has to go back home tomorrow after a few months here spent in Nica-Land.

Brian Scott

Don't worry buddy… I know you’ll be back… SOOOON!!!! Mi casa SU casa. ;)

Brian Scott

Aaaaaaaand my mystery barrel surfer of the day goes to this chap! Recognize this fellow surfer? Tag him on our insta page.

Brian Scott

Shaka and Aloha… my thoughts exactly after such an epic day of waves!  Thank you for spending the weekend with your favorite surf report from sunny and offshore Nicaragua!  Diacachimba ~
